Be Responsible

#----A NEW BEGINNING----#
Good Morning. How was your night? Wonderful, I thought.

What a new day, the beginning of a new work-week which symbolizes the start of a new reality.

A new reality! Yes, a new habit of personal vision. Know that yesterday is gone forever, it is now in the past. Don't allow the road blocks of yesterday truncate the journey towards the realisation of your goals.

Be Responsible for your vision. I mean be PROACTIVE.
You have the ability to choose your response in whatever situation you encounter today. You carry your own weather - whether it rains or shines makes no difference to you.

Do not base your emotional life on the moods or weaknesses of others, but upon your self-chosen values, your behaviour should be a product of your own conscious choices based on principles, rather than a product of your conditions, based on feelings.

Focus your time and energy on things you can control rather than reacting to or worrying about conditions over which you have little or no control.

In so doing, you become RESPONSE-ABLE at work, in your marriage, in your neighbourhood and wherever you are today.

OBJ Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday responded to General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s dismissal of his eight-year rule as a failure, describing the former military president as a fool at 70. Babangida had on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State on the occasion of his 70th birthday, described Obasanjo as lacking in foresight and imagination. Barely 48 hours after, Obasanjo replied him. He had conducted a team from the United States (US) round the Olusegun Obasanjo Library in Abeokuta,Ogun State. He told reporters that Babangida’s description of him as a failure was not only the ranting of a drowning man, but that of a fool at 70. The ex- president, who was dressed in a blue guinea brocade and a cap to match, was initially hesitant when journalists who learnt of the inspection few hours earlier, asked him to react to Babangida’s comment. His words: “I did not believe my ears when the news came to me until I read it in some national dailies.” Quoting from the bo...

Anti-Islam Film: Iran wants America to punish makers

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has demanded the United States to punish those behind the anti-Islam film if it truly played no role in the making. According to Ali Khamenei; “If the American politicians are honest that they had no role, then they must punish those who committed this heinous crime and their financial backers in proportion to this great crime,” Earlier on Thursday, hundreds of Iranians staged a protest in Tehran over the amateur, American-made film which ridicules Islam’s Prophet Mohammed. The crowd chanted “Death to America!” and death to the movie’s director, and an American flag was burnt. But the rally, held near the Swiss embassy that handles US interests in the absence of US-Iran diplomatic ties, ended peacefully after two hours. Security forces prevented the crowd from approaching the diplomatic compound. Iranian news agencies said the demonstration was called by the Student Islamic Society, a hardline university group loyal to K...
